Life on Board
Exuding a warm Irish ambience, the train’s beautiful cabins mix modern luxury with traditional Georgian design. Inside, 16 twin and four double en suite cabins provide a suitably indulgent repose after the day’s outdoor adventures. Lose yourself in emerald vistas that glide past your window. Or recline on Irish duck down bedding for a peaceful night’s sleep.
In Kildare, the saloon-style Observation Car, you can enjoy traditional live music and admire the passing scenery from the large windows as the train crisscrosses patchwork fields and craggy coasts. It's a place where, over a pint of Guiness, stories are shared of the day's excursions: the Gothic church explored, the lough sailed, rare wildlife spotted.
As the evening draws in, dine on seasonal food prepared to world-class standard in Sligo and Wexford, the two restaurants Cars, with new-found friends. Accommodating just 40 passengers, Grand Hibernian guarantees the most intimate, convivial of atmospheres. As the great Irish poet W.B. Accommodation
Five state cars offer 16 twin, and four double cabins. All cabins feature a light and contemporary design, with elegant Georgian flourishes and include private en-suite bathrooms.
All four double cabins interconnect, making them ideal for families and friends travelling together, and there is also an accessible cabin available for guests with limited mobilities, specially designed to allow wheelchair access into the cabin and en-suite bathroom.
