Starting points
The most popular route starts in London and takes you through Paris to Verona or Venice, but you can also leave from Venice with destinations of Prague, Vienna and Budapest and back to Paris or London. Once a year, the train travels from London to Berlin and back. Of course, you can also book the train for the original journey from Paris to Istanbul, or back, which recreates that maiden voyage during a memorable six-day excursion. This route is extremely popular and should always be booked as early as possible.

The three restaurants cars on board offer a truly magical dining experience, from scenic lunches to romantic dinners.
Etoile du Nord is resplendent with its wonderful floral marquetry, while Côte d'Azur features stunning Lalique glass panels and the black lacquer decoration in L'Oriental strikes an exotic note.
After dinner, enjoy the evocative sound of the baby grand piano played by the pianist. A glamorous setting before retiring to your cabin.

Accommodation
The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express cars are the original 1920s models. Each cabin has a washbasin, hot and cold water, towels, bathrobes and slippers.
There are several different cabin types:
• Single cabins: A private lounge during the day with a banquette sofa, footstool and small table, converts to one lower bed at night.
• Twin Cabins: Private lounge during the day with a banquette sofa, footstool and small table, converts to one upper and one lower bed at night.
• Cabin Suite: Formed of two interconnecting Twin Cabins – this allows guests to use one cabin as a living area and use the other cabins upper and lower berths for sleeping.
• Grand Suites: The biggest cabins on board. Guests travelling in the Paris, Venice and Istanbul suites enjoy private transfers to and from the train where they are welcomed by their personal cabin steward available for all their on-board services, including free-flowing champagne and private in-suite dining. Extra touches include bespoke amenities and a complimentary art-déco bathrobe.
