CALIFORNIA

The USA is a country, filled with numerous sights, beautiful nature and interesting cities. There is so much to do and see, and it seems like there is not enough time to explore the country. And the best way to explore it is by taking a road trip through the country. The Western Coast is the best place to start.

Newport Beach

After arriving at the beautiful Californian Newport Beach, check in at the Pelican Hill hotel. Gaining inspiration from the great Italian countryside villas, the resort offers an experience like no other. The views over the Pacific are amazing, the beaches and the waters are pristine and the villas/bungalows will definitely make you feel at home with their incredible design.

If you have time, go out and explore the city. Balboa Island is a great place to start. Walking down its Marine Avenue and shop till you drop in the numerous chip boutiques and shops.

Los Angeles

After breakfast, hop in your car and drive to Los Angeles. For two nights, you will stay at the luxurious La Peer hotel. Located in the Design District, this trendy hotel is a place where all arts meet. The design is high-end and it is a masterpiece on its own.

Numerous chic bars and restaurants such as Employees Only or the Bathtub Gin are located near the hotel and make the area even trendier!

Hollywood

Time to explore the city. A place where dreams come true, LA has it all – trendy bars, chic boutiques, sights and more. Going on a tour of the Universal Studios is surely be an experience of a lifetime as will be strolling down the Hollywood Walk of Fame and exploring the numerous stars there.

If you are an art fan, the Getty Center will keep you entertained for hours and if you want to enjoy the world-famous shopping of LA, Rodeo Drive awaits. But shopping in LA doesn’t end there, you have to make sure to check out the Original Farmers Market, opened in 1934, where just strolling through its stands will make you feel the typical spirit. The Grove is another place that is definitely worth visiting – one of the best open-air shopping centers with numerous stores of some of the top brands in the world.

There is so much to do and see in LA that time will never be enough.

Santa Barbara

Only a 2 hour drive from Los Angeles, Santa Barbara awaits. Check in at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara hotel. A place where relaxation and adventure meet, this hotel has it all. Enjoy the views at one of the two natural beaches, overlooking the Pacific. Or play some tennis at the hotel’s tennis courts. Not to mention the numerous activities, offered by this amazing hotel as horseback riding, sailing, surfing and more.

Big Sur

Time to head to the Post Ranch Inn and enjoy this heaven on earth. The rustic style of this incredible resort is combined perfectly with comfort and elegance, where you will definitely escape your busy lives and enjoy the silence.

If you want to explore the area, there are various hiking trails, beaches and charming towns as Carmel.

Spend the day relaxing and soaking up the magic of the Post Ranch Inn. Enjoy some morning yoga or book a guided walking tour of Post Ranch. Enjoy the views in one of the two heated infinity spas or relax at the hotel’s SPA center with various treatments and massages.

After your stay there, you will definitely feel relaxed and ready for your new adventure.

San Francisco

After a good breakfast, it is time to hit the road to San Francisco. You home for the next two days will be The Palace.

The Palace Hotel and its original architecture and various amenities are perfect for people, who prefer the comfort of a hotel. Or for more private people, staying in a private club as the Battery will be amazing.

Spend the afternoon, exploring the beautiful city of San Francisco. The iconic Golden Gate Bridge impresses in foggy and clear weather and walking across it and marveling at the views before you is a perfect activity before embarking on a night tour at the Alcatraz Island.

It is time to explore the city and the perfect place to start is at the Cliff House for brunch, overlooking the Pacific. The incredible colorful houses in Victorian and Edwardian style – aka - The Painted Ladies await - head to the NoPa, Cole Valley neighborhoods or to the most iconic rows of all – on Steiner Street and the corner of Hayes St.

Pier 39 is now home to numerous sea lions and it is very interesting place to visit, as is the country’s largest Chinatown. Enter through the Dragon Gate and explore the neighborhood’s historical buildings and typical shops, and take a bite at one of the numerous eateries, before opening up your fortune cookie at the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory.

Connecting the city’s 42 hills, over 400 stairways have some of the best views over the city and the Filbert Street Steps is the best of all. A real landmark of the city, riding one of the three cable car lines is a definite must.

Napa Valley

Napa Valley is located in only a 2-hour drive and it is the next stop on your road trip through the Western Coast.

The Relais Chateaux Meadowood awaits and it is one of the most luxurious resorts in the area. A SPA and Wellness center is available for the guests for a day of relaxation.

Enjoy your afternoon, exploring the area of the Wine Country and enjoying the beautiful nature.

It is time to explore the wineries in the area. The Joseph Phelps Winery is not to be missed, famous for its whites and reds, especially the Insignia wine. Definitely worth booking an appointment. Next on the list – Far Niente. Various wine tasting tours and experiences are available with the newest one being the Chef’s Table Tasting with perfect pairs of food and wine.

Nickel and Nickel is famous for their single-vineyard wines or the Chateau Montelena, world-famous for the historic Judgment of Paris wine competition, where they won the white wines section.
